Everyone deserves to feel safe. Every
Oregon State University student has the right to pursue academic, social
and work activities without fear or intimidation.
Yet threats of relationship and sexual violence - from verbal harassment
to physical assault - exist on this and other campuses. This site
contains information about sexual assault, how to reduce your risk for
experiencing or committing unwanted sexual contact, and the resources available
for survivors
of sexual assault. Help make Oregon State University a safer and more respectful
environment for everyone.
If you or someone you know has been raped or sexually assaulted, remember
that rape is never the fault of the victim/survivor. It is the fault of the
rapist. Although you may feel powerless, overwhelmed, afraid, or angry, you
have the right to regain control of your life. Oregon State University provides
support services to assist you with reviewing options and making choices,
and taking control.
Anyone can be raped, regardless of gender, age, or sexual
orientation.
This information is designed to help you answer some questions
and to provide you with a listing of community and campus resources.
