Zonta Club
The Zonta Service Foundation of Corvallis is accepting applications for its 2008-2009 scholarships. TEN $2,400 scholarships ($800 per quarter) are available for students who:
1. Are full time undergraduate students at LBCC or OSU with satisfactory academic progress who have resumed their studies after a minimum one year break in their education.
Preference will be given to older than average students, students with family responsibilities, and those with financial need.
2. Have demonstrated an interest in working to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health or professional status of women, or have demonstrated a willingness to work in a job or profession involving the welfare of children.
Applications are available at the OSU and LBCC financial aid offices, at the OSU Women's Center, or at www.zontacorvallis.org. Applications are due by March 28, 2008.

$1000 scholarship for older than average students
There is a $1000 scholarship for an older-than-average student who resides in Linn or Benton County.

Corvallis Women's Club
$500 grant for juniors and seniors
Grants of up to $500 to women who are entering their junior or senior years during the 2008-2009 academic year. Applicant must have graduated from any public or private high school in Benton County, Oregon and have at least a 3.0 at time of application.

American Fellowships
Scholarships for women doctoral candidates
American Fellowships support women doctoral candidates completing dissertations and scholars seeking funds for postdoctoral research leave or for preparing completed research for publication. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. One-year postdoctoral research leave fellowships, dissertation fellowships, and summer/short-term research publication grants are offered. Career Development Grants support women who hold a bachelor's degree and who are preparing
to advance their careers, change careers, or re-enter the work force.

Scholarships for LGBTQQI and straight-ally students
$350,000 available for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight-ally students including scholarships for:
- Potential leaders in the LGBT community

- Students enrolling in Vocational/Technical Programs

2007 Klausman Scholarship Available to Women Business Students
The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are awarded to women studying business at the undergraduate level who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field. Zonta Club of Corvallis is offering one $2,400.00 scholarship. The winner’s application is sent to District to be considered for an additional $400.00 scholarship. Zonta International offers six $5,000.00 scholarships to district winners.

American Association of University Women
Corvallis AAUW is offering scholarships to two deserving women who reside in Linn or Benton County, and are 25 years of age or older. The scholarships will be for the 2007-2008 academic year. A $750 scholarship will offered to a woman attending Linn Benton Community College seeking a certificate or degree, and a $1,000 scholarship to a woman attending Oregon State University seeking an undergraduate degree.

Application deadline is April 9, 2007.

St. Elizabeth Health Services Auxiliary
The St. Elizabeth Health Services Auxiliary of Baker City, Oregon will award a scholarship of $2,000 to a graduate of a Baker County High School or a current Baker County resident who has at least a college sophomore status by September of 2007, and is enrolled in a health care field, such as, RN, LPN, Radiology or Medical Labratory Technician, Occupational, Physical or Respiratory Therapy or similar areas.
Application must be turned in by April 15, 2007. After all the applications have been reviewed, the recipient will be notified by May 20, 2007.

OSU Folk Club Scholarship for Older-Than-Average women
The Women’s Center now has applications for the 2007-2008 OSU Folk Club Scholarship for Older-Than-Average women students. This scholarship is valued at $1500 ($500 a term) and is available to women students who will be over the age of 26 by April 11, 2007 and attending OSU with at least 8 credits in either a bachelor’s, master’s or professional degree program.

Women's Opportunity Awards program
The Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Eligible applicants must be women who provide the primary financial support for their families, and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/ skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

2005-2006 TRIAD SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
$500 non-renewable scholarship for graduate students

Eligibility requirements:
Graduate student status, with a minimum of 24 completed credits, and a 3.0 GPA
Financial need
A record of service as defined as any volunteer or paid assistance provided to benefit OSU, a student organization, a community service project, an academic department at OSU or other entity in our community.

OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop Scholarship for Older-Then-Average women students
This year they are offering eleven $1500 scholarships with the main criteria being that applicants are 26 or older by March 24th, residents of Benton County, who are enrolled at OSU for at least 8 credits a term in a bachelors, masters or professional degree programs. Consideration is given to financial need and merit, with preference given to students who have had a break in their studies and are returning after that absence. The deadline is Friday, March 24th, 2006 by 5pm.
Applications are available at the Women's Center! You can also pick them up at the finical aid office and the 2nd street OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop.
