House Calls to the Hoopa: On-the-job training for vet students benefits the reservation and then some. Five CVM students make the RAVS (Rural Area Veterinary Services, a program of the Humane Society of the United States) trip to Hoopa, Calif. Ragan Garrett, Class of 2011; Jeff Nickel, Matt Carnett, Jeni Gallagher and Austin Bell, Class of 2010, gave up their spring break to learn and help in an area where veterinary care is nonexistent.
