| The third installment in the Bard in the Quad Summer Shakespeare program is A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's most popular and best loved comedy. Adapted and Directed by Scott Palmer, the 2008 production includes the first ever three week performance schedule of fifteen shows over three weekends with an audience capacity of more than 5,500. The 2008 production will be performed in the style of the great silent films of the early 1910s and 1920s, with fantastic costumes reminiscent of the Ziegfeld Follies, Valentino (pictured right), Mary Pickford and the great silent film comics Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin... all under a midsummer night's sky! |
