On behalf of the Vaccinium Species Working Group of the Vine and the Berry Fruits Section of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), the conveners and local organizing committee invite you with great pleasure to participate in the 9th International Vaccinium Symposium. The Symposium will be held July 14-16, 2008 in Corvallis, Oregon, a location positioned near significant production regions of Vaccinium.
The conference will consist of a three-day scientific program, to be held on the campus of Oregon State University, with presenters welcome to submit papers on all aspects of blueberry, cranberry and lingonberry production, including basic and applied research in the areas of genetics and germplasm, physiology, production systems, plant and soil nutrition, irrigation, pests and diseases, post-harvest, fruit quality, health benefits, and marketing. In addition, a pre-conference tour is scheduled to view the Vaccinium industry in the area, and to allow participants and accompanying persons to experience and enjoy the scenic and cultural beauty of the Willamette Valley, the Cascade Mountains, and the Oregon Coast.
Please note that this conference will be in English.
We look forward to seeing you in 2008!
