Postbaccalaureate Admission for OSU Graduates (effective July 1, 2008)
Students who want to earn a subsequent undergraduate degree from OSU may apply for postbaccalaureate admission through the Office of Admissions. Applicants for consideration must meet the same application deadline and GPA requirements as transfer applicants. The GPA is computed on the first baccalaureate degree plus any subsequent credit earned. Applicants must include a statement of objectives of 150 to 200 words with their application. A $50.00 application fee must be included with application. Academic departments may impose additional requirements.
Students who want to earn a subsequent minor or certificate from OSU may apply for nondegree enrollment status. Students must complete the current requirements for a minor or certificate and receive the dean's approval. Students must also achieve a minimum GPA of 2.0 and complete a minimum of 15 credits in residence. A nonrefundable $25.00 admission application fee is charged.
Postbaccalaureate Admission for Non-OSU Graduates
If your baccalaureate degree was not from OSU, apply for postbaccalaureate
admission through the Office of Admissions. Applicants must meet the
same application deadline and GPA requirements as transfer applicants. The GPA calculation
is based on the first baccalaureate degree plus any subsequent credit
earned.
Official transcripts of all college work attempted must be submitted directly from the registrar's office of each institution. Official transcripts faxed directly to the OSU Office of Admissions will be accepted if they are sent with the Registrar's office cover sheet and are from a school located within the United States.
Applicants must include a Statement of Objectives of 150-200 words with their applications. An application fee of $50 is charged. Academic departments may impose additional requirements and must approve all admissions.
Please note that academic performance is not the sole criterion for admission to the university. The university may evaluate a person's behavior and background to determine their ability to maintain the standards of academic and professional conduct expected at the university. An evaluation may take into consideration current behavior and performance as well as past experiences and actions. Simply qualifying for admission does not guarantee admission.
International applicants should also refer to the admissions procedures for international students for deadlines, test score requirements, and additional information.
